Minutes of First Patient Participation Group (PPG ) Meeting 15.10.25

JS opened our first PPG meeting with our new members, Dr Abdalla (Lead Partner) Narrinder Dhillon (Practice Manager) and Adib (Business Development Manager) were introduced to the group.

As this was our first meeting it was very informal introducing members to each other and getting a general feel of what a PPG group is all about. SN & JS informed group that we have sent messages out to all of our patients but only 9 patients had shown interest in joining the PPG, all 9 interested patients were sent invites to our 2 planned meetings 15.10.25 & 22.10.25.

Group rules were handed out to all members.

A patient questionnaire that was compiled by our previous PPG group was handed out, and JS asked if our new members would be happy to adapt this questionnaire to questions that they thought would be appropriate/useful to ask patients.  Members were happy to do this and also spend some of their free time to hand out the questionnaires to patients, this will be discussed in future meetings.

NB pointed out that the questionnaire states that you can book appointments via accurx, all members asked what is AccuRx ? SN & JS realised that the surgery staff know our on-line booking system is through accurx but patients would not be aware of this, this hi-lighted that this section of the questionnaire required re wording.  Also group members felt that the scoring system relating to treatment received should be changed.

Members also felt that extended services provided by both surgery and pharmacies could be advertised more.

Members suggested that as we have a very varied clinical skill mix it would be good to have something up in the waiting rooms explaining who is who and who does what.
